The project

How it came together

01

What they needed

Baking a Difference is a plant-based bakery in Aberdeen. Everything they bake is free of peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, gluten, soy, dairy and eggs, and all of it is vegan, which makes their treats school safe. They already had their BAD AF logo and look. They needed packaging and an in-store display that built on that identity and told a parent in a few seconds that the snack was safe.

02

What we made

School Safe is the most important part of the Baking a Difference brand, because its customers are parents of kids with food allergies. The risk was that shoppers would miss everything these treats are free of, next to the other products on the shelf. So every label puts School Safe and the full allergy-free list front and center, and the display unit repeats it down its side panel, so parents see it at a glance.

03

What changed

Once the designs were approved, I set up the six labels and the display for print production, so every file went to the printer ready to run. The display and products then went into ShopRite stores.
